Jenny Dale

Prolific author of animals stories for younger children, in particular dog and cat stories. As well as a Puppy Tales and Kitten Tales series she has written the Pony Tales series of pony books.

There is some speculation that the author does not actually exist but is a pseudonym for another author or authors. One author mentioned as writing under the name of Jenny Dale is Liss Norton, who incidentally is also said to be one of the ghostwriters for the Lucy Daniels Animal Ark series. However, I don't think Liss actually wrote any of the Pony Tales series. So the jury is still out on the identity of their author! If anyone can shed further light on the matter I'd love to hear from you!

Pony Tales Series:
Not a series as such, as all are separate stories. These are aimed at the younger reader and are traditional type pony stories.

SUMMARY: Kay's pony Rosie loves escaping from her field to go exploring, but then one day she disappears...its it for good this time?

8) WILLOW THE WILD PONY
SUMMARY: Willow the Dartmoor pony loves to watch the wild ponies on the moors. One day she decides to run away and join them, but when she starts to feel cold, hungry and homesick she realises she has made a mistake.
